West Plum Studio is a surface pattern design studio based in York, producing contemporary geometric patterns. These are available across a range of greetings cards, notecards and prints. All products and packaging are as eco-friendly as possible. Supporting local businesses is really important so all products are made as close to home as we can, preferably in Yorkshire.
Hi I?m Sophie, a surface pattern designer based in York. I set up West Plum Studio after being on maternity leave to allow me to follow my passion whilst being able to spend time with my little boy. I love exploring nature, architecture and other cultures to uncover shapes found all around us and use them for inspiration in my work. Although I do have a particular soft spot for triangles!
I use a mixture of hand drawn and digitally created motifs to create patterns and enjoy incorporating hand lettering into my finished pieces.
